Temet Nosce

Temet Nosce is an immersive venue designed to foster creativity, connection, and personal growth, centered around NYC's underground music scene. The brand emphasizes the power of the human spirit and the perseverance required to achieve one’s goals, creating a vibrant space for individuals to connect, explore, and grow.
The logo development process was key in shaping the identity of Temet Nosce. I knew the logo needed to evoke a sense of mystery and ambiguity that would tell the brand’s story at a glance. The initial stages, from February to April, set the foundation, but the concept didn’t fully take shape until the summer. By August, I had a sketch that brought the "unalome" symbol to life—more dynamic and expressive. After refining the design, the logomark was complete. The wordmark, "Temet Nosce," holds personal significance. It’s a phrase I wrote on my desk years ago to remind myself to stay true, authentic, and real—a value that I wanted to deeply embody in the brand.
After completing the brand guidelines, I felt it was essential to create both a physical and digital space to fully immerse people in the concept. Though it's a mock website, it's designed to be functional and reflects the vision behind the brand. The site showcases live DJ sets streamed directly, a full calendar of concerts and theme nights, pop-up venues across different states and countries, a shop offering exclusive items, and a focus on the venue's core philosophy. Stunning visuals throughout help deepen the overall experience.
At the start of 2024, I had no experience with 3D software like Blender. Through smaller projects and YouTube tutorials, I gradually taught myself the program. By summer, I combined my interest in architecture with my project design. Using Minecraft, I built my venue brick by brick and then translated it into real-world scale, applying proportions and human scale references. Once the space was established, I filled it with my chosen colors, materials, equipment, and people, bringing my vision to life in a fully immersive 3D space.

The brand’s imagery was designed to evoke mystique while maintaining a strong visual identity. The signature green stands out in nearly every image, reinforcing brand recognition and minimalism. Exclusive event-based products, playful logo adaptations for themed nights, obscured faces, and carefully chosen settings all contribute to a distinct and immersive aesthetic.
This project was my first deeply personal and large-scale endeavor—one that I dedicated my all to.
