The Confectionary

The Confectionary project was a collaborative design journey, where we worked directly with a real client to shape her vision for a unique bakery and bar/nightclub brand. Over four meetings, we aligned on her needs and refined her brand’s look and feel, ensuring every detail resonated with her vision. I took detailed notes, anticipated questions, and presented updates throughout, crafting a brand that evolved in sync with her feedback.
After developing three distinct stylescapes, the client found herself between two different directions, leading me to merge these styles. Drawing inspiration from New York City’s vibrant nightlife scene, I aimed to elevate the brand beyond initial expectations, creating a design that felt sophisticated, intimate, and reflective of the dual bakery-by-day, bar-by-night concept.
To honor the client’s values as a vegetarian/vegan, we crafted the brand’s identity to appeal primarily to millennial audiences who share an interest in plant-based dining and nightlife experiences. The result was a brand that not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations, bringing an elevated and trendy approach to an unconventional bakery-bar concept.
