In Plain Sight Poster
Adobe Illustrator | October 2024 | Personal Project
My friend’s film, In Plain Sight, was accepted into the Long Island Film Festival and the Monadnock International Film Festival. As a congratulations, I created a new movie poster with a distinct design from his original, which featured typography over a still image that didn’t represent the film’s depth.
Taking inspiration from Swiss-style minimalist design, I incorporated visual elements reflecting the documentary’s subject—the Narragansett Smoke Shop Raid in Rhode Island nearly 20 years ago. The final design features an illustration of the smoke shop, accented with shapes symbolizing the Rhode Island State Police and their patrol car lights, capturing the film’s theme with clarity.
