The Aviatoria project aimed to create a distinctive brand tailored for aviation enthusiasts, specifically targeting younger audiences to address the ongoing ATC and pilot shortage. As someone passionate about aviation and part of a school renowned for its aviation programs, I sought to develop a brand that resonates with my peers and inspires the next generation of pilots and air traffic controllers.
My creative process began with a series of logo sketches, which informed the brand's typography, color palette, and overall aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from sources such as Top Gun and Qatar Airlines, I aimed to encapsulate a modern yet approachable aesthetic to represent this brand.
Aviatoria stands out with its unique offerings: informative posters highlighting influential aviation figures and events, an engaging commercial designed to surprise viewers, interactive apps that provide flight information when pointing at an aircraft, and even a mobile game that introduces users to the fundamentals of air traffic control. This multifaceted approach not only positions Aviatoria as a brand but also fosters a sense of community and engagement among enthusiasts.
